Who we are?
Act Sustainable is an Egyptian non-profit social enterprise that works to raise awareness and drive sustainable solutions to fight climate change and environmental crises. We work side-by-side with LCOY Egypt (Local Conference of Youth) to achieve Sustainable Development Goals, especially climate change. We gather ambitious young individuals from all parts of the country, deepen their sustainability knowledge, and help them to identify key challenges through modern thinking techniques. A prosperous world is built by the power and will of every individual so help us get there!

OUR PROJECTs
LCOY Egypt offers a safe platform for networking, engaging, and knowledge sharing to bring the youth together and leverage their unique ideas for a sustainable globe. At LCOY, every opinion matters, all ideas count, and all points of view are discussed. We are all here to serve one goal; Save the Planet!
Vulnerable youth and children face heightened climate risks, impacted by extreme weather and its socioeconomic effects. Despite this, they're pivotal in local adaptation and peace efforts, embodying resilience. Yet, a gap persists in addressing these issues on national and sub-national scales, To address this, ACTS and partners introduce the ACTS Community Project, aiming to enhance community engagement in Egypt and beyond.
Being the world’s most water-stressed region in the world, the cascading impacts of climate change in the MENA region surpass water, food, and energy insecurity with dire and socioeconomic inequalities. Thus, the first RCOY MENA was organized by ACTS in partnership with the UNCT in U.A.E, the World Green Economy Organization and the Arab Youth Center in September 2022 under the slogan “Youth Creating Their Future”.
The Observer School a Unique Project created by ACTS and it is gaining popularity as a way of perceiving the world as interconnected. It empowers youth in the global south to engage in important meetings, UN events enhancing their representation and productivity. The goal is to train future leaders from these regions, improving the quality of high-level meetings and involving underprivileged youth in decision-making.
The UN Climate Change Conference of Youth (COY) is an event under YOUNGO – The Official Youth Constituency of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The conference takes place right before the annual UN Climate Change Conference, also known as the Conference of the Parties (COP), in the same host country as the COP. COY serves as a space for capacity building and policy training to prepare young people for their participation at COP. In 2022, ACTS Cohosted COY in its 17th year and is dubbed as the most significant and longest-running youth event to date, gathering thousands of young changemakers from more than 140 countries.
